3 Benefits You Can Expect When God Says No
I was MAD. AT. GOD. Yes- I said it. It’s true. I was.
The keyword here is “WAS”. I’m not anymore. I know that’s not the “Christian” thing to say, but here in this space I’m honest and open (and I encourage you to do the same in your life too).
Here’s the deal. I’ve met a number of people who have felt this way before, and they’ve stayed in that frame of mind. That’s exactly what we don’t want. As believers, no matter what is going on in our lives, we MUST trust that God has our best interest at heart.
The Bible says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also know that God’s ways are not ours and neither are His thoughts the same as ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
With this in mind, we will encounter times when our personal plans may detour as God’s perfect plan for our lives is played out right before our eyes.
As this happens, we might experience God’s “NO”. There have been plenty of times when God wrecked “my” plans. You know- the ones we make for ourselves, even though we don’t see the BIG picture.
After experiencing some of the BLESSINGS behind God bursting in my life, I wanted to share some benefits and biblical principles which we all can apply to our lives. Because of the mind-shifting lessons I learned, I hosted a Facebook Live titled, “God slammed the door in my face, but I still have joy! 3 BENEFITS to expect when God says "NO". In the video I share what we can expect even when things don’t go as “we” planned.
As you tune in, I pray you are encouraged today and you gain insight on how God truly cares and has a much GREATER plan in store for you!
Blessings,
Teresa
